Joanna Whilemina “Dan” Todd (1870-1946) remained single and cared for her parents and her brother in their latter years at 88 Cotton St, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.
She was known as Dan, or Aunty Dan, and was a generous and helpful person loved by all. She maintained correspondence with many family members and several of her letters (see below) remain in the possession of Australian Todd descendants.
She mostly wrote to her niece Bella Silver.
