Alexander Silver and Isobel Falconer

Silver family members: At left is Isobel Falconer who married Alexander Silver with her three sons Alex (standing), James (left, who went to Australia) and John (who also left Scotland and may have ended up in New Zealand). The image was taken in 1882. Below her is eldest daughter Hellen with her husband Alex Duncan and most likely their first-born child Isabella. The next couple is son Alex Silver with his wife Helen Jane Watt and, at right, daughter Isobel Menzies Silver who married John Duncan (brother of her sister Hellen’s husband Alex).

  Alexander Silver (1809-1882) was the son of John Silver and Helen Gordon. He married Isobel Falconer and they had six children. One died as a baby.
