Text | a church worker of St Dunstans he mentioned an entry under Coker/Stonehewer of Monies spent on a building project within half a mile of Narrow Street for seaman.1857 I saw the building its" u" shaped with the their being no even number in the style of Georgian Terrace. also a note "Sons took over the building." Maybe thats why William JT and family returned to England. I note on the 1861 census William J.T. Coker ships Chandler is running the family operation. Narrow street is now mostly high end Apartments though some facades have been kept # 12 is a paved lot an entry to the historical walk, I found the pub mention as the local its still there as 1700. I had a drink and a toast to you guys. Have found that some of the street mentioned in the wills are still there hope to get someone to photo them. Brian | |
