OBITUARY Mrs. MARY COKER
Mrs. Mary Coker, of Bibbys Road, St. John's Park, passed away on June 13th, aged 46 years.
She had suffered ill-health for some years, and recently entered the Rachel Forster Hospital, where death took place.
The deceased came to Australia from London in 1925, and has been a resident of Fairfield West and St John's Park ever since.
The funeral took piece on Saturday, June 17th.
A service held at a city mortuary chapel at 10.15 a.m.. was conducted by the chaplain of the Merchant
Seamen's Mission, of which her husband was a member.
The funeral moved to the Eastern Suburbs Crematorium, and the ashes will later be taken out to sea and scattered over Bass Strait by her husband.
Those surviving are her husband, Frederick Coker, Frederick Stephen and Peter Robert, Irene, Pauline, Doreen, Lorna and Judith (daughters), all of St. John's Park.
Some lovely floral tributes were sent, including those from the staff of Rachel Foster Hospital, and Mr. Coker's fellow officers of his ship.
