    1884 deaths in the district of Kinning Park in the county of Lanark. No 63, Jane Silver, housekeeper, domestic servant, single, found 1884 January thirtieth 8.30am at Berth 45 Glasgow Harbour (usual residence: Springfield Cottage, Bothwell), female, 43 years. Parents: James Silver, carter, deceased and Margaret Silver M.S.Steven (Stephen), deceased. Cause: drowning. Informant D.B.Greig, brother-in-law 27 Allardice St, Stonehaven.


    Register of correct entries. The following report of result of a recognition has been received touching the death of Jane Silver registered under No 63 in the Register Book of Deaths for the year 1884.
    Age and sex: Jane Silver, housekeeper, unmarried, 43 years female
    When and where died: Went missing from Springfield Cottage, Bothwell, on 5 of 6 October 1883 and body found in Clyde opposite Berth 45 southside of the Harbour Glastone on 30th January 1884. Cause of death: Drowing either accidental or suicidal. Dr Hardie, police surgeon, made an external examination of body.
