    After her illegitimate son George Smith Cockie was born in 1884, Isabella married Charles Esson but they had no children together.
    This appears to be his death notice:
    Aberdeen Press and Journal 17 February 1947, p3:
    Esson.-At Inchmarnoch Schoolhouse, Dinnet, on Feb 14, Charles Esson, in his 82nd year. Funeral service in Stothert Memorial Church, Lumphanan, on Mon., Feb 17 at 2pm.
    It seems that both Isabella and Charles died around this same time because their is a notice in the Aberdeen Press and Journal 27 February 1947, p3 which reads thus:
    ESSON.-Miss Esson wishes to convey her sincere thanks to all relatives and friends and neighbours for the many kind expressions of sympathy extended to her in her recent sad double bereavement.-Inchmarnoch Schoolhouse, Dinnet.
    At a guess, this must be Charles Esson's niece Evelyn who was staying with the family on the 1911 census. Can't find any information about Evelyn Esson, not even her birth, so she may have been 'adopted' by Charles and Isabella anbd raised as their own.

    Notes:

    John Silver's father, also John, is recorded on his death certificate as a journeyman mason and was potentially still living when John junior died in 1924. Without knowing when he was born, there are a couple of John Silvers who were masons born around 1860 or earlier who are potentially his father, given John junior was born in 1883.
    The best 'candidate' is a John Silver born around 1859 Fettercairn, Kincardineshire. The others come from districts too far removed from Lumphanan to be seriously considered although it's not impossible that they could have been in the district at the time Mary Cockie fell pregnant to John Silver. But, given the closer proximity between Fettercairn and Lumphanan, the 1859 John Silver stands as the obvious choice. On 1901, he is found in Glasgow as the son of law on a John Joseph Blair, so obviously was married to Agnes Blair.
    An online tree gives him was the son of William Silver and Elizabeth Smith, who is turn was the son of Joseph Silver and Isabella Alladyce.
    That Joseph Silver is reportedly from Dunnottar, so they all fit in the Aberdeenshire district or surrounds.
    As well, on 1881 census, Mary Cockie was at Drumoak which is only a few miles from whether the John Silver in question was living at Clodhill, Banchory Devenick.
    All assumptions, but reasonable ones.

    Mrs Elma A. Cuckie, 58, Marian Home, died at the Marian Home Sunday. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3.30pm at the Bruce Funeral Home with the Rev Ottis? McQuairy? retired United Methodist minister officiating. Burial will be in Callender Cemetery, Callender. Friends may call after 4pm Tuesday. Survivors include sons Frank Cuckie, John Cuckie and George Cuckie, all from Cortez, Colo., daughter Mrs Jon (Lynn) Olson, Jefferson, six grandchildren, mothers Mrs Argia Larcinesi, Joliet, sister, Mrs Olga Ginnetta, Joilet, Ill., and brother Argante Larcinesi of California.
    Elma Larcinesi was born in Mowhawk, Mich., and moved with her parents as a young girl to Joilet, Ill. where she was educated. Following her education she was employed for several years. In 1945 she married John Cuckie in Joilet, Ill. Following their marriage the couple moved to Fort Dodge. The couple was later divorced. Mrs Cuckie had lived in her own home until recently, when she entered the Marian Home.
