Given Joan is buried at Oakey, it is presumed she is living as Joan Ellen Thompson, because on 1977 electoral roll, she is registered at 26 York St, Oakey. Headstone shows she was buried as Joan Ellen Thompson and her son Allan Holland (1959-2016) is recorded on same plot.
