      CHEVINGTON
      The wedding took place recently at East Bergholt Church of Miss Violet Freda Orriss, daughter of Mrs. A.Orriss and the late Mr A.Orriss, of Chevington, and Mr Sarjeant Stow, son of Mr. and Mrs. S.W.Stow, of East Bergholt. The Rev Barlow offociated. Given away by her brother (Mr R*.Orriss). The bride wore a dress of white taffeta, with tulle veil, cluster of orange blossom and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The bridesmades were Miss Joan Orriss (sister of bride), and Miss Margaret Stow (sister of bridegroom).
      *Note that Reg was her step brother; seemingly her mother's base child.
