- Rosemary Nunn was subjected to unwanted advances from an older man named Percival Ernest Thorne that led to her having to take court action.
There is a lengthy report in the Bury Free Press on 25 February 1955, p11, that shows how Thorne, who was almost 30 years her senior, pursued Rosemary and, in modern terms, stalked her.
He even paid for an wedding announcement that appeared in the Bury Free Press 24 December 1954, p2. It read:

Nunn-Thorne.-Forthcoming marriage between Rosemary Violet Nunn, second youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Nunn, Whepstead, Bury St Edmunds, to Percival Ernest Thorne, Greatstone-on-Sea, Kent.
