Notes |
- Four months before his death, an illegitimate child named Jessie Silver Fenton was born at Harvieston, the daughter of Jessie Fenton, housekeeper, whose address was given as Blackburn Mearns, Tannadice, Dundee. The child's father is not given on the birth certificate.
The first conclusion to be drawn is that Alex was the child's father based on a DNA connection between her descendants and Silver descendants. It is known that in 1901 Jessie Fenton was housekeeper at Cheyne Farm near Stonehaven which is just a few miles from Harvieston Farm.
