    • There are two marriage entries found for an Alexander Silver (born about 1801 died about between 1847 and 1851? based on census records) to a Jane Meston (born about 1816). One 25 Mar 1843 at Banchory Devenick: Alexander Silver in the parish of Old Machar and Jane Meston in this parish having been contracted were married. The other in Old Machar: 12 Mar 1843: Alexander Silver, labr, Fords of Dee in this parish, and Jane Meston in the parish of Banchory Devenick, signified their purpose of marriage, by Mr Henry Ogg, elder, and being thrice proclaimed.


      Jane remarried in 1858 which is confirmed by daughter Helen Silver's 1875 death cert:
