      DISS HEYWOOD
      WEDDING
      A pretty wedding was solemnised at St Mary's Church, Diss, on Monday (21 Jan), the happy couple being Corporal John Malcolm Tomlingson*, eldest son of Mr and Mrs. Tomlingson, of Worksop, Notts., and Miss Edith Kitty Causer, daughter of Mr and Mrs W.H.Causer, of Paradise Farm, The Heywood, Diss.
      The service was performed by the Rev. J.A.Appleton, of Diss.
      The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a white satin dress with veil and headdress of organe blossom and carried a bouquet of red carnations and trailing fern.
      She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss K.Causer (sister of the bride) and Miss R.Rendall (friend of the bride), who were attired in white figured satin dresses with pale pink ostrich feather headdresses, carrying bouquets of white chrysanthemums, and wearing silver bangles, gifts of the bridegroom.
      The duties of best man were carried out by Mr S.Causer, brother of the bride.
      After the ceremony a reception was held in the Strike Schoo, Burston.
      They were the recipients of many valuable and useful presents.
      The honeymoon is being spent in Edinburgh, the bride travelling in a saxe blue costume with accessories to match.
