Notes |
- In 1890, she gave birth to a daughter named Mina Jardine Duthie Campbell (or Silver). With regard to paternity, the certificate states: Jane Campbell, wife of Alexander Silver, farm servant, who she declares is not the father of the child and further that she has had no personal communication with him since they ceased to reside together about 9 years ago. By 1901, Jane and Alex are reunited and have another daughter, Jessie, in 1896. Mina is not on 1901 census with family but there is a Josephine Silver of same age who seems to be Mina. Then we find Mina marrying in 1908 and giving her parents as Alex and Jane. Conclusion is that Mina and Josephine are same people.
