(129) Sacred to the memory of Laura Isabella, daughter of William Keith, M.D., and Isabella Fisken his spouse, born on the 17th July 1863, she died on the 17th of August 1868. William Keith, M.D., of Easter Muchalls, Surgeon to the Royal Infirmary, and Lecturer in Clinical Surgery, Aberdeen, born 3rd November 1802, died 5th February 1871.
(130) In memory of Mary Groom, spouse to William Keith, M.D., Surgeon in Aberdeen: she was born at Montrose, on the 28th Jany 1802, she died on the 25th Septr 1831: and William, their infant son, he was born on the 26th Septr 1826, he died on the 11th March 1827. Died at Sherpur, Cabul, on the 13th Jan. 1880, from pneumonia, caused by exposure during the campaign in Afghanistan, Alexander Crombie Keith, Surgeon, Army Medical Department, fifth son of Dr. Keith, and Burnette Silver.
(131) Sacred to the memory of Jane Anne Elizabeth Keith, daughter of Dr Keith and Burnette Silver his spouse, born 28th April 1844, died 16th Feb. 1848. Also the said Burnette Silver, born at Netherley, 22nd Nov. 1809, died 25th March 1853. Lieut John Keith, R.A., their third son, who died 24th April 1867, aged 28, and lies in Kamptee Churchyard E.I. Also of Colonel George Silver Keith, Madras Army, who died at Madras on 18th September 1887, aged 49 years.

John Keith was born about 1840 in Old Machar, Aberdeen, Scotland the third son of Dr. William Keith and the former Miss Burnette Silver.
Keith was commissioned into the Royal Artillery on 1 April 1861 and was assigned to the 13th Brigade, 8th Battery in Secunderabad, India on in May of the same year. He sailed from Gravesend aboard the steamer Hydaspes on 16, June 1861.
His obituary appeared in the 27 April (no year) edition of the Central India Times and an abriviated version showed up in the
Saturday, 8 June, 1867 issue of of the Times (London).
Keith came from a large family of five brothers of which served in the military:

Surgeon Alexander Crombie Keith M.B., C.M., Born 11 December 1849, Aberdeen, Scotland.
Died 13 January, 1880 Sherpur near Cabul, from pneumonia, caused by
exposure during the campaign in Afghanistan.
