      Jessie Menzies Kamester (widow of Thomas Kamester, Inland Revenue Officer), 1931 October Twenty-fourth at 4pm at 4 Oakdale Terrace, Mannofield, East Peterculter, female, 67 years, dau of James Silver, road surveyor, deceased and Mary Anne Silver M.S.Falconer, deceased. Cause: Chronic myocarditis with valvular disease of heart. Informant: Thomas Kamester, son, of 5 Fenton Road, Bishopton, Bristol.

    • Of Jessie Menzies Silver, her nephew James Murray Silver wrote:
      As a young woman my aunt Jessie taught school in Glasgow. She had three children; the youngest, James Silver Kamester, was decorated for service at Gallipoli as a corpsman in WWI, after that he served in France and was commissioned in the RAF, and finally badly injured in a training crash in England. He became a Doctor (MD) and had his practice in Weston-Super-Mare, near Bristol. He died in 1973.
