A pretty wedding was celebrated at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church when Daune, eldest daughter of Mr and Mr B H. W. Moss, East Street, was married to Paul, eldest son of Mrs A. Sagnol, Denison Street, Rockhampton. Rev. J. W. Stewart Lang was the officiating clergyman. The bride was given away by her father and was attended by her sister, Miss Edna Moss, as bridesmaid. Mr Neville Harris was best man. The bride's frock was of cream satin, with a close-fitting bodice, a lace yoke, and long sleeves, and a bouffant trained skirt. Her beautiful floor-length embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. She wore a pearl pendant, the gift of the bridegroom and carried a cascade bouquet of white frangipani, dahlias and gardenias tied with white satin ribbon. As she left the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by little Pamela Coker, cousin of the bride. Pale pink satin marocain fashioned the bridesmaid's frock, which featured elbow-length sleeves and a very full floor-length skirt. She also wore pink mittens to match. Her headdress was of pleated pink lace straw, with a shoulder-length pink veil. Her cascade bouquet of pink frangipani and pink roses was tied with pink silk corded ribbon. The bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid was a gold compact. The reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, where fifty guests attended. The bride's mother received the guests, wearing a frock of dusky pink crepe with white accessories and a corsage of pink frangipani. She was assisted by the bridegroom's mother, who wore a blue floral frock with navy accessories and a corsage of white gardenias and roses. The four-tiered square cake was made by the bride- groom's mother and iced by Mrs Clewes. The tables were tastefully decorated with roses and gardenias in float bowls. Mr A. Coker, uncle of the bride, was chairman, and during the breakfast songs and items were rendered by Miss June Sagnol, Mrs Harris, Neville and Leonard Harris and Messrs Collins and Coker. When leaving for Mackay, where the honeymoon is being spent, the bride travelled in a floral crepe jumper suit with navy accessories.
