      WEDDING.
PENNY-KERSHAW.- Knox Presbyterian Church, Ascotvale, Melbourne, was the scene of a very pretty wedding when Lorna Edith, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Kershaw, Railway Estate, Townsville, exchanged vows with Philip Roy, eldest son of Mr, and Mrs. P. A. Penny, of Glenthompson. Victoria.
The lovely bride entered the church on the arm of her uncle, Mr. George Aspinall, who gave her away.
She was attended by Mrs. Roy Holliday, sister of the bridegroom, who fulfilled the duties of matron of honour.
Mr. Bruce Selby. friend of the groom, carried out the duties of best man.
The bride chose a ballerina-length frock of bridal satin and tulle.
The tight-fitting satin bodice came to a deep peak at the waistline (front and back).
The low, rounded neckline, was finished with a wide scalloping of tulle which was caught up in the centre front with a spray of orange blossom, and extended over the shoulders to form a sleeve.
The tulle skirt was fully gathered on to the bodice. The finger-tip veil, heavily embossed, was worn over the face on entering the church, and fell from a coronet of orange blossoms.
The bride wore hand-crocheted lace gloves and carried a bouquet of white lilies tied with satin ribbon.
The matron-of-honour also chose a ballerina-length frock of lemon velvet and spotted net.
The velvet bodice was cut with a high rounded neckline and extended sleeves and was finished with tiny buttons from neckline to waist line.
The spotted net skirt was fully gathered and a narrow velvet sash was worn, tied at the front. She wore a lemon straw halo, trimmed with pale blue and lavender flowers and carried a blue and lavender bouquet.
The wedding reception was held at the Hotel Alexander. The guests were received by the bride's aunt Mrs. G. Asplnall, assisted by the bridegroom's mother.
Mrs. Aspinall wore a light brown frock with accessories to match.
Mrs. Penny wore dusty pink figured linen with black accessories.
The happy couple left for South Australia, where the honeymoon was spent at Mt. Gambier and later returned to Warracknabeal. Victoria, where they will in future reside.
