*According to probate entry, he died in testate and estate went to his widow Fannie May. Witnesses were his brothers James Reginald Hutchinson and Robert Lawrence Hutchinson.

- Richard Thomas Hutchinson died intestate. A 23-page probate file exists and gives details of his estate being granted to his widow, Fannie May.
His brothers Robert and James made sureties for the estate.
The application for administration of the estate reads:
IN THE SURROGATE COURT OF JUDICIAL DISTRICT OF SASKATOON
The Petition of Fannie May Hutchinson, of Haddington P.O. in the Province of Saskatchewan, Widow, humble showeth:
That Richard Thomas Hutchinson, of Haddington Post Office aforesaid, farmer, deceased, died on the 28th day of November, 1909, at or near Haddington aforesaid and at the time of his death he had his fixed place of abode at or near Haddington Post Office in the Judicial District of Saskatoon.
The value of the whole estate and effects of which the deceased in any way died possessed of or entitled to is not more than $5180.00 to the best of your Petitioner's knowledge or belief.
That the said deceased died without having made any will, Codicil, or testamentary papers whatever.
That the deceased died leaving me, his widow, and without having left any child or children.
WHEREFORE YOUR PETITIONER PRAYS that administration of the estate and effects of the deceased may be granted and committed to her by this Honorable Court.
DATED this 4th Day of May, A.D. 1910

In the Surrogate Court of the Judicial District of Saskatoon Be it know that on the 13th day of May A.D. 1910 LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION of all and singular
the real and personal estate and effects, rights and credits of Richard Thomas Hutchinson late of Haddington Post Office in the Province of Saskatchewan, Farm deceased who died on or about the 28th day of November A.D. 1909 at or near Haddington aforesaid and at the time of his death was a resident of said Post Office of Haddington, in the said Judicial District of Saskatoon WERE GRANTED to Fannie May Hutchinson of the Post Office of Haddington, in the Province of Saskatchewan, farmer she having been first sworn faithfully to administer the same by paying the just debts of the said deceased and distributing the resident (if any) of the said estate and effects according to law and to exhibit a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the said estate and
effects, rights and credits and to render a just and true account of her administration within two years or whenever required by law so to do. By the Court Deputy Clerk.
