    • John and Margaret celebrated their golden anniversary on 14 Sep 1906 at Little Mains, by Castle Douglas and their Diamond Wedding on 14 Sep 1916 at 88 Cotton Street, Castle Douglas. (Note, though, they were married in 1857, so their celebrations were always a year early) NOTE: On John's death certificate, his father's name is given as John rather than James which it is on his wedding certificate.
      As well, his mother's maiden surname is given as Henderson, not Cochrane, but his wife's mother's maiden surname was Henderson.
