- INFANT KILLED BY CAR
A 14-months-old infant, Christine Nunn, youngest child of Mr and Mrs A. T. Nunn died shortly after admission to hospital yesterday morning following injuries said to have been received when she was run over by a car.
It is understood that the child's father was backing his car out of the yard of his home at the corner of Dawson Road and Larnach Street when the accident happened. He drove to work unaware that his child was near the car. His first knowledge of the accident was a telephone message from his wife, who heard the child cry and found her lying in the yard.
The ambulance was called and the child conveyed to a private hospital, where it died shortly after admission.
