WEDDINGS. Pitman-Randolph. A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, by Rev. Mons. Baldwin, on January 23. The contracting par ties were-Oswald James, younger son of Mlr. and Mrs. O. S. Pitman, Challinor-street, and Iris, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. Randolph, Dinmore. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, to the strains of the "Wedding March," played by Miss Mae Kelly. She was beauti-fully frocked in a trained gown of Ivory bridal satin made on tailored
lines; the bodice showed a pleated vest with pointed collar caught at the neck with a bunch of Iily of the valley. Tiny satin buttons formed the trimming in front of the bodice and on the long tight-fitting sleeves. The long tulle veil was worn cap-fashion, with a pleated coronet, completed with a trail of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of ftangipanni, rosebuds, asters, and carnations, with trails of asparagus, finished with white satin streamers. The bride was attended by Misses Ethel and Ada Pitman (sisters of the bridegroom). They were frocked alike in coronation blue cloque, the bodices showing the shirred panel in front, with square neck, finished with tiny covered buttons. The sleeves and back were completed with buttons and loops, the skirts falling in full gores. They wore blue spotted net veils, cap fashion with a small coronet, finished with trials of tiny pink bush flowers. They carried bouquets of hand-made J. L. Mock roses, with sarred bamboo and trails of pink antigonon and asparagus. During the signing of the register Miss Mae Kelly sang an "Ave Maria." The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Tom Bashford as best man, and Mr. William Ratcliffe as groomsman. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a satin horse-shoe by little Miss Cecilia Leahy (niece of the bridegroom). The re-ception was held at the Majestic Cafe where the bride's table was adorned with a two-tier wedding cake. The bride's and bridegroom's mothers received the guests, The bride's mother wore a navy floral uncrushable crepe frock, with hat, shoes, and gloves to match, and the bridegroom's mother was frocked in floral coral pink flambol. black hat, shoes, and gloves to tone. The honeymoon was spent at Coolangatta. Mrs. Pitman travelled in a tunic frock of blue flowered matte crepe, made with boat shaped neck, finished with buttons on shoul-der. She wore a black Jack Tar hat, with shoes and gloves to match. The bride's frocks were the work of Misses Barnes and Davies. and her bouquet was prepared by Miss Sybil Foote. The bridesmaids' frocks, veils, and bouquets were made by Miss Ethel Pitman.
