      Another interesting weeding solemnised the same day was that of Mr. Frederick John Fordham, son of Mr. and Mrs. H.J.Fordham, of Potters-lane Fields, Ely, and Miss Jessie L.Sindle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sindle, of London.
      The event took placed at Holy Trinity Church, the officiating clergyman being the Vicar (the Rev. Harold van Cooten).
      Given away by Mr. R.W.Rayner (friend of the bridegroom), the bride was attired in a navy blue dress, with hat to match, and was attended by Miss Elsie Fordham (the bridegroom's sister) as bridesmaid.
      Miss Forham wore a navy blue costume, with hat of cinnamon shade.
      Aftewards a reception was held at the Three Blackbirds, where Mr. and Mrs. F.J.Fordham are residing.
      The happy couple received numerous useful and valuable wedding gifts.
      Bother parties are well known in Ely. Mr Fordham was for several years employed by the Ely Co-operative Society, but later worked at the Beet Sugar Factory.
      He takes great interest in sport, particularly in football, and was a member of the late Ely G.E. United Football Club.
      He has also appeared in a number of matches organised for charity.
      The bride was for some time in the service of Mr. and Mrs. H.Holroyd, Fore-hill.
