| 18066 | Reputed father is Walter Pettit. Hargrave Quarter Session Court reference to Martha Nunn and Walter Pettit which apparently indicates non-payment of maintenance This may be the record of his death . UK, Prison Hulk Registers and Letter Books, 1802-1849 Leviathan Register 1801-1836 No 7338 Walter Nunn aged 24, for stealing mare, 18 July 1825 at Chelmsford, life imprisonment, died 6 Nov 1825. He certainly disappears from the records and his wife remarries to his younger brother, so if fits despite the age discrepancy. Perhaps the entry was his age when he was jailed in 1825 as per the nespaper entries dealing with a case of horse stealing involving a Walter Nunn. He was given a death penalty but it's not clear if that was how he died. | NUNN, Walter Pettit (I5414)
