A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Emerald Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. K. G. Stevens when Allie Joy, only daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Munro, Highlands, Yamala, was married to Reginald, elder son of Mr and Mrs E. Goodwin, Colorado, Bluff.
The church was prettily decorated by members of the Presbyterian Guild with pink antigonon and asparagus fern. To the strains of the Wedding March, played by her cousin, Miss F. Daniels, the bride entered the church with her father. She wore a floor-length frock of ivory brocaded crepe-de-Chine and lace fea-turing a sweetheart neckline and close-fitting long sleeves peaked over her wrists.
The front of the bodice and sleeves were finished with tiny satin buttons, and she also had a full circular skirt. She wore a hand-embroidered Brussels net veil, which had been worn by her mother on her wedding day, attached to a headdress of lace and gardenias, trimmed with silver leaves and satin ribbons, and she carried a sheaf of white lilies and fens tied with satin ribbon. The bridegroom's gift of a gold necklet set with pink tourmalines was added.

Miss Doris Goodwin, sister of the bridegroom, as bridesmaid, wore a full-length gown of saxe blue satin-backed crepe mariette. The bodice was made with a gathered front, sweetheart neckline, and short puff sleeves, and the fully flared skirt featured a peplum trimmed with silver sequins.
A shoulder-length blue spotted net veil, with a halo of tiny pink rosebuds and silver leaves and blue mittens, were worn and she carried a horseshoe-shaped bouquet of pink loses and ferns tied with blue satin ribbon. The bridegroom was supported by his cousin, Mr R. Napper, Bluff, as best man.

During the signing of the regis-ter, the congregation sang "The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden." As the bridal couple left the church, the bride was presented with a white satin horseshoe by Dulcie Smith.

The wedding breakfast was held in the Soldiers' Memorial Hall which was decorated in blue, pink and white. The guests were received by the bride's mother, who wore a dusty pink lombia frock trimmed with drawn thread work and finished with a white shoulder spray and accessories. She was assisted by the bridegroom's mother, who chose green figured silk crepe-de-Chine and added a white posy and accessories.
As unusual feature of the wedding was the presence of both grand-mothers of the bridegroom-Mrs Dowling in navy silk frock trimmed with white braid and black accessories and Mrs Dobbs wearing a gown of black satin backed crepe with black accessories.
The U-shaped tables were adorned with pink antigonon, ferns, and vases of zinnias, pride of place being given to a three-tiered cake, made by Mrs D. Pritchard. Mr D. Pritchard presided at the table and after the usual toasts were musically honoured, community singing and "Auld Lang Syne" concluded the evening.

When leaving for the honeymoon, which will be spent in Rockhampton, the bride travelled in a blue silk pique frock heavily beaded in black beads and she added black accessories. The future home of the bridal couple will be at Colorado, Bluff.-- Emerald correspondent.
