    Aberdeen Journal 12 January 1921, page 4:
Shunter killed by train. Driver of engine dies of shock.
A distressing double tragedy occurred on the railway at Aberdeen yesterday. A shunter was killed just outside the Joint Station by a Deeside train which knocked
him down and ran over him, and the driver of the train died a few minutes later from shock and heart failure.
The 3.20 train from Ballater had started, and was about 100 yards from the station platform, when Walter R.Silver, a shunter, 28 years of age, residing at 108
Rosemount Viaduct and recently married, apparently failed to notice the approach of the train, stopped in front of the engine, and was knocked down and dragged along the ground for some distance between the rails.
The train was immediately brought to a standstill, and when Silver was lifted from the rails he was found to be dead.
The train then proceeded on its journey, and on the way to Holburn Street Station the driver, James Willox, and elderly man, who resided at Braemar Road, Ballater,
said to the fireman, "I am feeling very queer." The train was stopped at Holburn Street Station, but before reaching there Willox collapsed on the footplate. He was
assisted into the waiting room by the fireman and guard, but he succumbed in a few minutes, and when medical aid arrived life was pronounced extinct. The body was
removed to the house of a son-in-law. Police Constable Jaffrey, 38 Erskine Street. Mr Willox was 64 years of age, and was one of the most experienced drivers in the
G.N.S.R. service. He was well-known and held in warm esteem in Ballater. Mr John Wilox, locomotive superintendent at Kittybrewster, and Mr S.R.Willox, goods superintendent, are brothers of the deceased.

Walter was Isabella's base child as his marriage cert shows that she was his mother and thereafter married James Silver. It is still possible, of course, that James was the child's father.
