Notes:
MR. DAVID ("DICK") NUNN.
After 68 years in the Dinmore district, the life of a very well known and highly esteemed citizen of the West Moreton district, Mr. David ("Dick") Nunn came to a close in the week-end.
A coal miner for the greater part of his life, the late Mr. Nunn was obliged to retire through ill-health several years ago.
The late Mr. Nunn loved his work and held a high place in the esteem of his fellow workers.
Coming to this country with his parents from England*, the late Mr. Nunn, at an early age, married Miss Jane Biggam in 1891.
Obtaining work in a district coal mine, he enjoyed perfect health until a few years ago.
Up to the time of his death, the late Mr. Nunn had always been a keen follower of sport.
His sons were all prominent in the sporting world. During the early part of his life, he was an interested member of the Ipswich and West Moreton Cricket Assoclation.
Soccer also was closely followed by him, and his sons are all prominent in the Soccer world.
In all his doings, the late Mr. Nunn was always cheerful.
He was elected a life member of Bundamba Rangers Soccer Club this year and at the time of his death was a Vice-president of the club.
For many years he was a member of the Pride of Dinmore Lodge, P.A.F.S.O.A., in which he took a keen interest.
The late Mr. Nunn leaves a widow and a family of eight--Mesdames A. H. Statham (Booval), W. Souter (Brisbane), Misses Mary and Mildred (Booval), Messrs. A. E. (Booval), V. B. (Ebbw Vale), L. R. (Nudgee), and Cecil (Booval). Rev. R. J. R. Delbridge conducted the service at the Ipswich Cemetery yesterday.
