    The wedding took place quietly owing to the war, at St. Mary's, Ickworth, on Sunday afternoon (29 Sep), of Mr James P.Watson, of Southampton (formerly of Belfast, N.Ireland) and Miss Winifred Nunn elder daughter of Mr and Mrs T.Nunn, The White House, Ickworth. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in an Air Force blue gown, with hat and shoes to tone, and carried a bouquet of white carnations and fern. She was attended by her sister, Mrs Kenneth Sadler, who wore a clover-coloured frock, with hat and shoes to tone, and carried a bouquet of pink asters and fern. Mr Kenneth Sadler was best man. The Rev. Lord Manners Hervey officiated at the ceremony and Miss Cynthia Allen was at the organ. A reception was afterwards held at the bride's home. The happy couple later left by car for their home in Southampton, where the bridegroom is employed in the accountancy department of a famous ship-building firm.

    Funeral of Mrs L.E.Nunn
    The funeral took place at St Mary's Church, Ickworth, on Saturday, of Mrs L.E.Nunn, wife of Mr Tom Nunn, the White House, Ickworth Park. Mrs Nunn died suddenly in her 73rd year. Mrs Nunn, who was of a quiet and retiring nature, had lived on the Ickworth Estate nearly all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs W. Willingham, of Crows Wood, Ickworth Park. She was always an active member of the church. The Archdeacon of Sudbury, the Ven. H.R.Norton, officiated at the service.

    Funeral. - An aged and much respected inhabitant of Ickworth passed away on Nov. 19th in the person of Mrs. Harriett Nunn (widow of Mr H.Nunn, who predecesed her some years ago) at the age of 85 years. Mrs. Nunn had for many years made her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr and Mrs. T.Nunn, at Horsepool Gate. She had been in failing health for some time and will be greatly missed by her relatives and friends, amongst whom she was well known and beloved for her kindly and gentle nature. The funeral took place at the Church of St Mary's, Ickworth Park, on Saturday, the Rev. Lord Manners Hervey officiating. The immediate mourners were Mr T.Nunn (son), Mrs H.Allen, Mrs J. Race, Mrs W.Adcock, Mrs F.Adcock (daughters), Mr H.Allen and Mr J Race (sons-in-law), Leslie, Nancy and Tommy Nunn (grandchildren). Others present included Mr and Mrs H.Willingham, Mrs and Mrs A.Willingham, Mr and Mrs R.Last, Mr T.Last, Mr W.Last, Mrs Talbot, Miss Vincent, Mrs Flack, Mrs Allen, etc. The beautiful floral tributes were inscribed: In loving memory of our dear grannie, Winnie, Lesley, Nancy and her little Tommy; in loving memory of dear mother, Tom and Louie; In loving memory of dear mother, from Em and Jack; in kind remembrance with deepest sympathy, from Mrs. N.Brinkley and Mrs. J.Potter; In loving memory of dear Mrs Nunn, from Mrs Vincent and family; A simple token, but kindly sent, in loving memory of our dear aunty; In loving memory, from Mr and Mrs A.Willingham, R.I.P.

    Based on details in above, it is difficult to track which two daughters (Ann or Hannah) had the married names Allen and Adcock, partly because Ethel was married to William Adcock. There is reference to Mrs W. Adcock and Mrs F. Adcock, both daughters of Harriett. One, of course, is Ethel, viz Mrs W. Adcock. Still to confirm which of the sisters married F.Adcock or H.Allen.

    IGI record for a Susan Bridge daughter of William Bridge and Rebecca born 1805 but this does not seem to be her because in the 1851 census, her mother is living with her and her name is Mary. Also, the census gives Susan's birth place as Risby.
