CHEDBURGH. Sudden death - On Thursday morning, as Mr George Nunn, aged 69 years, was returning from breakfast to his work at Mr A.Marsh's, Major's Farm, he was seen by Mrs. J.Death to fall. Mrs. Death and others went to his assistance, but it was found he had expired. Deceased had been in his usual health and had not complained of feeling ill. P.-c. Frost, of Chevington, notified the coroner, who did not consider an inquest necessary. Deceased leaves a widow, three sons, and three daughters, for whom much sympathy is felt throughout the village in their sudden bereavement. An Sunday afternoon in church, to the memory of him who had the Sunday afternoon previously been present with them in that church, the hymn "Thy will be done" was feelingly sung by the congregation. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon at the Parish Church, the Rector (the Rev. H.W.N.Cave) officating. The mourners were the members of the family and a few other relatives and friends.
George married Ann NEWMAN in Oct 1871 in Thingoe, Suffolk, England, UK. Ann was born about 1846 in Depden, Suffolk, England, UK; died in UNKNOWN. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
