    IRELAND-NUNN
St Andrew's Presbyterian Church was prettily decorated by friends last Saturday for the marriage of Jessie Clare, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs G. A. Nunn, and Vivian Clarence, third son of Mr and Mrs A. E. Ireland, at which Rev. Hipwell officiated at 6.30 p.m.
The bride looked charming as she entered the church escorted by her father in her all-over lace gown over taffeta.
The tight-fitting bodice featured a sweetheart neckline and was finished with lace appliqued flowers trimmed with seed pearls and silver beading.
The three-quarter length sleeves were shirred at the elbows and the gored skirt fell gracefully and formed a long train. The skirt was further adorned with a peplum that extended into the train.
Her two-tiered embroidered tulle veil was loaned by Mrs Peters, a cousin of the bride. She added silk mittens and for something old wore a sovereign brooch, loaned by her mother; for something new, she carried a beautiful lace handkerchief, a gift from her grandmother, Mrs H. Nunn.
The lovely cascade trail of white dahlias, arum lilies, stephanotis and double shasta daisies were tied with white satin streamers.
The two bridesmaids, Miss Mavis Collins (Brisbane), a cousin of the bride, and Miss June Dobbs (Boolburra) were frocked alike in powder-blue taffeta.
The hip-length bodices were shirred from the neckline to the waist and the skirt gathered from the hips and featured a flare trimmed with silver beading.
They added blue silk mittens and hip-length tulle veils trimmed with a coronet of pink and blue flowers. They added a string of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom and carried pretty old world shower bouquets of pink carnations, roses asters and larkspur tied with pink ribbon.
The little flower girl, Helen Nunn, a sister of the bride, was dressed in powder blue taffeta trimmed with ruching and silver beads. Her long veil headdress was adorned with flowers and she carried a dainty basket of pink asters, carnations and larkspur tied with pink ribbon.
She also wore a heart-shaped locket, a present from the bridegroom. The duties of best man and groomsman were performed by the brothers of the bride and bridegroom, Messrs Gordon Ireland and Gordon Nunn. During the signing of the register Mr Neville Deakin, a cousin of the bride, rendered "O Promise Me."
Following the ceremony a reception for 100 guests was held at the Railway Recreation Hall, where they were received by the mothers of the happy pair.
Mrs Nunn chose a dress of blue floral silk linen and added a spray of parchment pink carnations and white accessories. Mrs Ireland also wore white accessories with her becoming frock, of gold crepe, which was adorned with a spray of deep cream frangipani and autumn-toned pansies.
Mr G. Pearce carried out the duties of chairman and the customary toasts were honoured. Pride of place was accorded the wedding cake, which was made by the bride's mother and iced by Mrs K. Fitzgerald.
During the reception musical items were rendered by Mr Norman Hill, who was ably assisted by Mr N. Deakin.
When leaving for Bundaberg where the honeymoon is being spent, the bride travelled in a dusty pink silk linen allied with black accessories.
