17870 Rosemary Nunn was subjected to unwanted advances from an older man named Percival Ernest Thorne that led to her having to take court action.
There is a lengthy report in the Bury Free Press on 25 February 1955, p11, that shows how Thorne, who was almost 30 years her senior, pursued Rosemary and, in modern terms, stalked her.
He even paid for an wedding announcement that appeared in the Bury Free Press 24 December 1954, p2. It read:
FORTHCOMING WEDDING
Nunn-Thorne.-Forthcoming marriage between Rosemary Violet Nunn, second youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Nunn, Whepstead, Bury St Edmunds, to Percival Ernest Thorne, Greatstone-on-Sea, Kent.

17875 Ruth Thomson was a life-long friend of Geoffrey's. She said she met Geoffrey and his dad, Jack, on the Isle of Man in the 1960s. They were on a cycling tour. She worked at the hotel. Geoff visited her in to Scotland. After Ruth married, she kept in touch with Geoff. He visited Ruth and her family in Canada and corresponded with her over the years. Ruth recalls when she visited the Nunn family, grandfather Harry would cook large dinners. Ruth said Geoff had a 1,000 CC motor cycle with large side car. He enjoyed taking it apart and re-building it. Wherever he went people often gathered around to admire the machine.

The following is a report of Geoffrey's passing:

Quiet village stunned as man's body found badly decomposed in his bedroom
The picture-perfect village of Rowde is mourning one of its 1,000 residents who had to be identified by dental record
A rural English village with just 1,000 residents is in shock after one of its residents was found dead in his bed - having been there for at least a month.
Sweet picture-postcard Rowde, near Devizes, Wiltshire, has been rocked by the discovery of the pensioner , who was so decomposed that he had to be identified by dental records.
Not only was Geoffrey Nunn, who was 76, unrecognisable when he was found, but it has so far been impossible to ascertain the cause of his death,
Police broke into Mr Nunn's home on April 5 after the alarm was raised by his landlord.
The inquest at Salisbury was told that the decomposed body had to be identified by dental records, with cause of death impossible to identify.
Rowde Parish Council chairman Stephen Mundy, who used to live opposite Mr Nunn, said:"I will be looking into this at once - this is very unusual.
"He was a long-standing Rowde resident who will be tragically missed - it is so very sad.
"I think this is a great shock and very sad for all the people in Rowde.
"This seems to be endemic at the moment in the UK - there are several cases where people just disappear and are not noticed for some time.
"He kept himself to himself - he was quite a lonely man and did not have a lot of visitors."
Another shocked villager added:"It seems he was lying there for over a month."
Wiltshire Police said: "We are not treating the death as suspicious."
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.

Fordham-Sindle.
Another interesting weeding solemnised the same day was that of Mr. Frederick John Fordham, son of Mr. and Mrs. H.J.Fordham, of Potters-lane Fields, Ely, and Miss Jessie L.Sindle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sindle, of London.
The event took placed at Holy Trinity Church, the officiating clergyman being the Vicar (the Rev. Harold van Cooten).
Given away by Mr. R.W.Rayner (friend of the bridegroom), the bride was attired in a navy blue dress, with hat to match, and was attended by Miss Elsie Fordham (the bridegroom's sister) as bridesmaid.
Miss Forham wore a navy blue costume, with hat of cinnamon shade.
Aftewards a reception was held at the Three Blackbirds, where Mr. and Mrs. F.J.Fordham are residing.
The happy couple received numerous useful and valuable wedding gifts.
Bother parties are well known in Ely. Mr Fordham was for several years employed by the Ely Co-operative Society, but later worked at the Beet Sugar Factory.
He takes great interest in sport, particularly in football, and was a member of the late Ely G.E. United Football Club.
He has also appeared in a number of matches organised for charity.
The bride was for some time in the service of Mr. and Mrs. H.Holroyd, Fore-hill.

17900 Sarah Challis married a Thomas Nunn in Chevington but there is not enough information in the record yet unearthed to determine which Thomas Nunn was her husband.
The best candidate is the first of the three Thomas Nunns below based ONLY on the fact he alone is found still in Chevington after Sarah's death; and is identified on his death record as the son of John Nunn and Martha.
